The Toyota Supra celebrates its world premiere at this year's Goodwood Festival of Speed (12-15 July): Fitting to the 25th anniversary of the British Motorsport meeting, the new edition of the sports car icon in the south of England is in action for the first time. Chief engineer Tetsuya Tada and test driver Herwig Daenens control the prototype over the legendary mountain route.

After announcing the comeback at the Geneva Motor Show in spring 2018, visitors can now take a first look at the model athlete. Toyota remains true to the tradition of a real sports car and also missed the reissue of a straight six-cylinder front engine and rear-wheel drive. The prototype is camouflaged in the black-and-white colors of the motorsport subsidiary Toyota GAZOO Racing and on all four days of the event on the road. The new Toyota Supra is expected to enter the market in the first half of 2019.

In addition to the development model, visitors to Goodwood can see the Toyota GR Supra Racing Concept. The concept car developed by Toyota GAZOO Racing gave a first indication of the new edition in Geneva. The study shows a powerful sports car with a sharp-cut bodywork made of advanced lightweight materials, lowering, racing wheels and a cockpit that meets competitive standards.

The Toyota TS050 hybrid with start number 8 has already proven how successful on the racetrack. The 1,000 hp hybrid race car won the 24 Hours of Le Mans this year, giving Toyota its first ever long-distance classic victory. Of course, this winning model should not be missing in Goodwood.
